It was powered by an all-aluminum 3.0L V6, which featured Honda’s VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system and until 1994, was offered solely with a 5-speed manual transmission.The Car was initially presented at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show before production began in a purpose-made factory in Japan from early1990. Initially, the NSX was only available as a Coupe, before the introduction of a Targa top (NSX-T) in 1995.This spectacular example was purchased New from Acura Carlsbad, CA in late-1995 by James R Johnston, before being acquired by the second owner in June 2003 when the odometer reflected just over 13,000 miles.When New, this NSX-T carried an MSRP of $81,725. Finished in Black with a full Black Leather interior, the 3.0L V6 DOHC 24-Valve engine produced 270hp. Widely recognized as Japan’s first true super Car contender, the Acura NSX had the Ferrari 355 firmly in its sights.With just 884 units reported as being sold in the USA in 1995, this is an incredibly rare sports Car and is offered for sale today having just had the HVAC compressor rebuilt, an oil and filter change performed, replacement valve cover gaskets installed and four New tires mounted and balanced, (all work completed by Galpin in June 2025).Included with the sale is the original window sticker, Owners Handbook Package, All Original Keys, Original NSX Coffee Table Book, All Service Records and accompanying historical automotive magazines with NSX articles and features.
