VERY RARE – CALIFORNIA TITLE & REGISTRATIONThis 2005 Mercedes-Benz G500 Cabriolet, (w463 chassis) was imported to the United States by J.K. Technologies, LLC of Baltimore, Maryland and has been federalized for US market regulations. This G500 Cabriolet was reportedly sold to a Doctor in Germany in late 2004 after having completed assembly in July 2004 at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria. This G500 Cabriolet is current displaying just over 43,400 miles since New and is supplied with current California registration and a clean California title and is being offered on a consignment sale on behalf of its present owner.Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission and three locking differentials with permanent 4-wheel drive. The 4,966cc, 24-valve V8 was factory rated at 292 horsepower, (at 4,000rpm) and 336 lb/ft of torque, (at 2,800rpm) and could accelerate from 0-60mph in 9.7 seconds on its way to a maximum speed of 118mph. The initial owner in the USA had the cabin re-trimmed in tan leather rather than the original black, and replaced the original wheels with a set of five-spoke alloys from a US-market G500. These were later refinished in Black by the current owner. The cabin areas which were re-trimmed with tan upholstery include the seats, armrest and door panel inserts in place of the original black leather. Additional tan leather trim has been provided under the windows between the B and C pillars. The exterior is finished in black with a powered black convertible top. The dark finish is offset by a chrome brush guard, polished rocker extensions and spare tire carrier. A set of rectangular side markers are fitted front and rear for compliance with US-market standards.Dark Burl Wood veneers are present on the center stack, steering wheel, and passenger side grab handle. Equipment includes a replacement Head Unit which incorporates Sirius XM and a Reverse Camera, heated front seats, steering wheel-mounted controls and a panel of switches for the three locking differentials. All interior features, (including the electronic roof operation) operate correctly. Rear seat occupants are provided with individual seat heaters controlled by switches on the rear interior panels.
